On 3.5.2024, the following order was passed:- "1. Through the instant petition, the petitioner No.2, who is, without obtaining divorce from her spouse, living with petitioner No.1 in "live-in relationship", has sought issuance of directions upon the official respondents to ensure protection of her and petitioner No.1's life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents.

2. Notice of motion for 29.05.2024.

3. Mr. Pardeep Bajaj, D.A.G., Punjab, waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3.

4. Subject to requisite process fee being filed by the learned counsel for the petitioners, notices be DALBIR SINGH TIWANA 2024.07.29 22:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

5. On the subsequent date of hearing, the learned State counsel is directed to file reply, on affidavit of a responsible functionary, detailing therein, whether the alleged threat perception to the petitioners genuinely exists or the same is based upon mere assumptions and presumptions."

In deference to the directions issued by this Court, the short reply dated 23.7.2024, by way of affidavit of Sh. Satvir Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Barnala, is filed today in Court by the learned State counsel, and the same is taken on record. Copy thereof, is supplied to the counsel opposite. 3.

A perusal of the reply reflects that both the petitioners have suffered specific statement that as on date, they have no threat perception.

In view of the aforesaid statement, no further order is required to be passed in the instant petition. 5.

Disposed of accordingly.
