This is a petition seeking quashing of order dated 19.2.2021, passed by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Nakodar in FIR No. 98 dated 23.6.2018, under Sections 406, 420 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar declaring the petitioner as proclaimed offender.
As per the pleadings, the petitioner was abroad and she came to India only on 29.6.2021. She was not aware of the proceedings. Vide order dated 14.7.2021, the petitioner undertook to appear before the court concerned within a week. In the meantime, her arrest was stayed.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner appeared before the court concerned and was granted interim bail.
Learned counsel for the State is not disputing the said fact. In view of the above, the impugned order is quashed.
