Naresh Kumar Sanghi, J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 438, Cr.P.C., is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, Narinder Singh (husband), who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 498A, IPC, in a case arising out of FIR No.110, dated 14.06.2014, registered at Police Station, Bawa Khel, Jalandhar. Learned counsel submits that after registration of the case, an application was presented by the petitioner side before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, alleging that FIR was registered without conducting proper inquiry and as such, an inquiry was marked to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, wherein it was held that the petitioner and his wife were quarreling on account of using of electronic devices etc. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner SEEMA RANI 2015.02.26 13:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, which was registered at the behest of Manjit Kaur (wife), that after marriage the petitioner and his mother started taunting the informant on account of dowry articles. Even a demand of Rs.10,00,000/- was put forth by the petitioner. After the birth of the male child, the petitioner continued to harass the informantwife. When the informant-wife failed to fulfill the illegal demand of Rs.10,00,000/- then she was turned out of her matrimonial house after giving severe beatings.

No ground for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made out.

Dismissed.
