(ORAL) This is a petition for quashing of FIR No.535 dated 14.7.2015, under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station City, Sirsa, District Sirsa, at the instance of respondent No.2 Surender Kumar alleging that petitioner, his wife, had left his company and changed her name from Geeta Rani to Lakhwinder Kaur and further that she without getting divorce from him contracted second marriage with Manjeet Singh and got issued another Voter Card under the name Lakhwinder Kaur though she was already having a Voter Raj Kumar Arora 2017.11.03 15:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

There had been a matrimonial dispute between the parties and the parties entered into a compromise for dissolving the marriage by filing a petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act. Respondent no.2, present in the Court, has stated that he has compromised the matter with the petitioner and he has got no objection in case the FIR is quashed as the matter has been compromised and he does not want any action against the petitioner.

In view of the matter having been compromised as per the statement of complainant-respondent No.2, following the judgment in Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.), 1052, this petition is allowed. The above said FIR and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
