(Oral) Petitioners have filed the present petition seeking direction to the respondents to grant effective opportunity of public hearing to them regarding the objections dated 11.01.2022 (P-3) submitted by them, pursuant to notification dated 13.12.2021 and public notice (P-1 and P-2 respectively).

Learned State counsel has referred to judgments of this Court in a case of Hardeep Singh vs. State of Punjab and others, passed in CWP No. 344-2020, decided on 11.03.2022 and Gram Sabha Begowal vs. State of Punjab and others, passed in CWP No. 276-1979 dated 03.10.1980 Learned State counsel has referred to the above judgments wherein it has been categorically held that where objections have been invited, the Government is bound to consider the same, however, the Government is not bound to give personal hearing. CWP-12663-2022 Learned State counsel on instructions states that the department will decide the objections given by the petitioners.
