(ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners for interview for the post of Deputy Ranger as they have not been called for the interview. Learned State counsel submits that petitioner No.1 has secured 174 marks (164 in written and 10 marks for interview). As the cut off in BCB category is 182, therefore he does not make the cut. Likewise petitioner No.2 has secured 170 marks (160 in written and 10 marks for interview) while cut off in General category is 189. Therefore, he also does not fall in the selection zone. Petitioners No.3 and 4, who had applied under EBPG Category have secured 162 marks (150 in written and 12 for interview) and 153 marks (142 in written and 11 for interview) respectively whereas cut off against the EBPG category is 177. CWP-12169-2019 -2Result of the petitioners, who have concededly scored lesser marks than the last selected candidate, is not under challenge in the instant petition. It seems that petitioners were under the wrong impression at the time of filing the instant petition that based on their performance, they would qualify.

Being not so, no grounds are made out to interfere. Dismissed.
