Versus

State of Punjab ......Respondent CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr. H.S. Bhullar, Advocate for the Petitioner. Mr. R.S. Randhawa, AAG, Punjab.

*** JASWANT SINGH, J.(ORAL) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.157 dated 16.9.1999 under Sections 419/420 IPC, PS Division No.4, Jalandhar.

Petitioner was declared a P.O. on 18.1.2001 and file consigned to record room due to non-appearance of the petitioner. The allegations against her are that she had obtained fake passport. It is contended that petitioner had migrated to United Kingdom on 11.7.1999 and the FIR and subsequent proceedings were recorded after her departure. It is further submitted that the entire proceedings for proclamation have been conducted on her address in

CRM-M No.43791 of 2015 #2# India where she was not residing. It is submitted that pursuant to the directions passed by this Court on 21.1.2016, the petitioner has appeared before the trial Court on 01.2.2016 and was granted interim bail. Learned counsel concedes that his client is ready and willing to face the trial.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Malkit Singh, does not refute the fact that the petitioner has surrendered. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the interim bail granted on 01.2.2016 by the trial Court is made absolute. Petition stands disposed of.
