ANIL KSHETARPAL, J(Oral) In substance, the petitioners claim that the respondents have made promotions in violation of the roster register as also beyond the prescribed quota of Scheduled Caste. They have already submitted a representation (Annexure P-8).

The learned counsel representing the State of Punjab submits that at the first instance the competent authority be directed to consider and decide petitioners representation by passing a speaking order. The learned counsel representing the petitioners has no objection to the aforesaid suggestion of the learned counsel representing the State of Punjab.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of while directing the Director, Public Instructions (Elementary Education), Punjab, to consider and decide petitioners representation (Annexure P-8) within a period of one month, from today, positively, after granting an opportunity of hearing in accordance with law.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
