Through the instant writ petition, prayer is made for issuance of directions upon the respondents to take necessary measures for ensuring the expeditious completion of the Dharchoe Dam located in Beat and Block Thandog, Range Morni, Compartment C-183, Panchkula, in accordance with its originally intended purpose. Moreover, prayer is also made for issuance of directions to take appropriate legal and administrative action against the delinquent officials/responsible entities for ensuring accountability and restitution of misappropriated public funds.

While issuing notice of motion on 24.04.2025, this Court had directed the respondent(s)-State of Haryana to file a specific reply disclosing therein the present status of the construction of the dam in question, besides disclosing the legal or other impediments in completion DEVINDER YADAV 2025.07.18 09:27 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

In deference to the directions (supra), today the learned State counsel has filed a short reply dated 15.07.2025, on affidavit of Mr. Vishal Kaushik, Divisional Forest Officer, Morni-Pinjore Division, Pinjore, which is taken on record. It is voiced in this short reply that, the construction of the dam stood completed way back on 28.02.2024. 4.

At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the dam, which has been constructed, is not at all serving its intended purpose and there is misappropriation of funds also. 5.

This Court has examined the entire writ petition, however, does not find any material on record, which could substantiate the above allegations. In case, the petitioner is of the belief that, the dam has not been constructed as per the approved plan and/or there is any misappropriation of funds, he is at liberty to approach the authority of the first instance for redressal of his grievance. No further direction is required to be passed by this Court on the instant writ petition, hence the same is closed.

Disposed of accordingly.
