CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE PANKAJ JAIN Present :

Mr. Siddharth Gulati, Advocate for the petitioners.

PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.3 to 5.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Gaurav Bansal, DAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

As per the petitioners, they have married on 29.04.2024 against the wishes of respondents No.3 to 5, who happen to be the family members/ relatives of petitioner No.1 i.e. Ashu.

CRWP-4053-2024 Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1 is 05.03.2005 born and petitioner No.2 is 01.01.1998 born. Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Superintendent of Police, Karnal) to look into the representation dated 01.05.2024 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners.

Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.3 to 5 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. The petition stands disposed off.
