(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to immediately consider the case of the petitioner for grant of benefit of advance promotional increment after completion of 23 years of service. Further prayer has been made to issue direction to the respondents to refix the pay/pension and other retiral benefits of the petitioner after granting the benefit of 23 years promotional increment.

After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to approach the respondents - authorities by submitting a detailed representation.
