Petitioners pray for protection of their life and liberty as they apprehend danger from respondents No.4 to 9 as they have contracted marriage between themselves against the wishes of said respondents. Affidavits dated 05.01.2015 of respondents No.4 and 5 i.e., father - Rohtash and mother - Pushpa Devi of petitioner No.1 have been filed wherein it is stated that they have no grudge against the marriage performed by the OMKAR SINGH 2015.01.23 10:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-44008 of 2014 [2] petitioners and have undertaken that they will not interfere in their married life. Reply by way of affidavit dated 20.01.2015 of Vijay Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), Fatehabad has been filed in Court today with a copy thereof to learned counsel for the petitioners. The same is taken on record. As per the averments made in Para 2 of preliminary submissions of the said reply, no complaint or representation has been received by respondent No.2 alleging harassment or giving of any threat to the petitioners by respondents No.4 and 5. It is further informed that on the basis of a complaint lodged by respondent No.4 - Rohtash, FIR No.386 dated 22.12.2014, under Section 366 IPC has been registered against petitioner No.2 with the allegations that their daughter, Anju Rani was kidnapped by him.

Petitioner No.1 - Anju Rani has got recorded her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. in the said case (Annexure R1). She has stated that she had gone with petitioner No.2 out of her own free will and got married with him at Panchkula and she wants to reside with him. Learned counsel for the State submits that in view of the said statement cancellation report has been prepared. Learned counsel for the petitioners, in view of the facts and circumstances, submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous though, it is prayed that in case any such threat etc. is revived, they be given liberty to approach the police authorities for redressal. Disposed of accordingly with the liberty aforesaid. ( LISA GILL ) January 22, 2015.
