ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for setting-aside the order dated 25.11.2009 vide which the charges were framed against the petitioners under Sections 365, 323 and 506 IPC and 3 of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. This petition is pending since 2010 and is being adjourned on one pretext or the other. On the last date of hearing, a direction was issued to the Investigating Officer to file an affidavit about status of the case before the trial Court.

Affidavit of Kaptan Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City Jind on behalf of respondent No.1 filed in the Court is taken on record.

As per the said affidavit, the prosecution has completed its evidence and has examined as many as 20 witnesses and now the case is fixed for 15.11.2017 for defence evidence.
