Mr. Anureet S. Sidhu, Advocate, for the complainant. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioner Noorjit Singh @ Narjit Singh @ Nari in a case arising from FIR No.108 dated 13.07.2017 registered under Sections 307, 326-A, 326, 325, 148 and 149 IPC at Police Station Kambo, District Amritsar.

Petitioner is in custody since 01.10.2017. No role has been attributed to the petitioner. Filing of final report under Section 173(2) Cr.P.C. and conclusion of trial may take a long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in jail. On the other hand, learned State counsel, assisted by learned Ravinder Singh 2017.12.06 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document counsel for the complainant, vehemently opposed prayer for grant of regular bail.

-2CRM-M-44000 of 2017 Considering over-all facts and circumstances, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed. Consequently, petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, on his furnishing bail bonds and surety bonds, to the satisfaction of Trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
