(Oral) Learned counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Jagdev Singh of Police Station, Meharban, District Ludhiana, submits that the petitioner, Mangat Singh, son of Dharam Singh, resident of village Dholanwal, Tehsil and District Ludhiana, is not required by the local police in the matter described in the present petition and that he would not be called to the police station without exhausting the remedy enshrined under Section 160, Cr.P.C.
In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition at this stage.
