The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus for directing respondent No.2, to decide the statutory appeal dated 02.03.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed by petitioner, against the punishment order dated 22.02.2024 (Annexure P-1), passed by respondent No.1, vide which the petitioner has been dismissed from service of the Corporation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for deciding the statutory appeal dated 02.03.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed by the petitioner expeditiously by passing a speaking order in a time-bound manner. 3.
Notice of motion.

Ms. Devyani Sharma, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that the appeal filed by the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that the statutory appeal dated 02.03.2024 (Annexure P-2) pending before the Appellate Authority shall be decided within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
