Petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 CrPC seeking directions to respondent no.1 to take action on his complaint/representation dated 20.05.2022 (Annexure P-3) and also to take action against respondents no.3 and 4. Notices served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, no response of official respondents is required.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if a time bound direction is issued to Director General of Police, Punjab Police, respondent no.1, to decide the representation dated 20.05.2022 (Annexure P3), which is pending with him. Given above, the prayer is innocuous. As such, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Director General of Police, Punjab Police, respondent no.1, to decide the representation (Annexure P-3) himself or by assigning the same to an officer not below the rank of an IPS officers, by passing a speaking order within 20 days from today. In case of any unaddressed grievance, it shall be open for the petitioner to approach this Court again in accordance with law.
