By way of present petition filed under Section 438 CrPC, prayer has been made for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.33 dated 19.02.2016 registered under Sections 399, 380, 402, 457 & 411 of IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act, 1959 at P.S. City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran.

Having argued for some time, learned counsel for petitioner prays for withdrawal of present petition.

It is strange that the Investigating Agency has not been able to conclude the investigation and file the final report before the Illaqa Magistrate even after expiry of more than 7 years of registration of FIR. Considering the fact that there has been inordinate delay in the conclusion of investigation, the S.S.P., Tarn Taran is directed to look into the matter and get the needful done within a period of 8 weeks from today followed by filing of his own affidavit within a week thereafter before the Registry of this Court regarding compliance.
