Dated Police Station Sections 18.03.2023 Jodhewal, District Police Commissionerate Ludhiana 420 IPC Aggrieved by the sloth pace of investigation, complainant has come up before this Court by filing the present petition under Section 482 CrPC, seeking directions to respondents No.2 & 3 to present final report (challan) under Section 173 CrPC in the above captioned FIR.

Counsel for the State on instructions opposes such prayer on the ground that report under Section 173 CrPC can only be filed after completion of investigation and in this case investigation is still going on.

At this stage, petitioner's counsel submits that he would not press the prayer made in the present petition and he would be contended and satisfied if the investigation is completed within a time frame preferably within six months. 3.

Given above, petition is disposed of with a direction to the State to complete the investigation within six months. Liberty reserved for the petitioner to approach this Court in case investigation is not completed within six months. Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
