The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to re-designate the petitioner from the post of Assistant Professor to the post of Associate Professor (Microbiology) w.e.f. 26.02.2019 alongwith all consequential allowances.

At the outset, counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has already approached the respondent and submitted a legal notice dated 10.07.2020 (Annexure P-8), however, the same have not been considered and no response has been received thereto.
