M.M.S. BEDI, J (ORAL) Petitioner has been in custody w.e.f. 19.8.2014 in a case registered at the instance of Harminder Singh alleging that coaccused of the petitioner impersonated Nihal Singh and sold his land to the complainant. The petitioner was allegedly a witness to the agreement of sale. Since the sale deed could not be executed by the impersonator, the petitioner being in custody w.e.f. 19.8.2014, can be granted the concession of bail.
The petition is allowed. Petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
