CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANOJ BAJAJ

Present:

None for the petitioner.

Mr. Hittan Nehra, Addl. A.G., Punjab.

*** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.

Anju-petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect her life and liberty as she apprehends threat from her parents and brother (respondents No.4 to 6) respectively.

No one is present on behalf of the petitioner today and similar was the position on the last date of hearing. A perusal of the petition reveals that the petitioner is major and is living separately from the private respondents with effect from 24.09.2018. No specific particulars of any mode or manner of alleged threat are given in the petition, therefore, the bald averment regarding threat is not acceptable particularly when the petitioner is living separately from her parents. Simply because the petitioner has difference of opinion with her parents, therefore, that alone cannot be construed as a threat. CRM-M-45250-2018 (O & M) -2The representation allegedly given by the petitioner to the SSP only contains the allegation of proposed marriage of the petitioner with some other boy of the choice of private respondents, and it may not have any significance as the petitioner has left the house. Considering the averments in the petition, this Court does not find any valid reason to invoke the inherent powers under Section 482 Cr.P.C.

Dismissed.
