Prayer made in the present petition is for directing respondent No.3 to grant Arms License to the petitioner.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is a rifle/pistol shooter, participated in many tournaments and for practical purpose, is required an Arm License, which he applied on 11.11.2023, Annexure P-6, however, no decision whereon had been taken, whereafter, he submitted a representation dated 03.04.2025, Annexure P-14, which has also yet not evoked any response. Reference in para 11 of the petition is made to similarly situated sports persons namely Kulwinder Singh son of Satnam Singh and Yuvraj Singh son of Dilbag Singh, who have been issued the said license. He thus prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner. 3.
Learned State counsel on instructions states that a decision with regard to the application as also the representation, shall be taken within a period of 2 weeks.
