(Oral) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.174 dated 23.10.2015, under Sections 363, 366A and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar, District Ludhiana. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has solemnized marriage with respondent No.3 on 16.10.2015 and as per her Aadhar card (Annexure R-2/2), as of today she has already attained majority. She is residing happily with the petitioner in her matrimonial Naresh Kumar 2016.12.23 15:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh home. CRM-M-44311-2015 -2have been framed against mother and father of the petitioner. Today, daughter of the complainant, namely, Rouble Kaur (respondent No.3), is present in Court and states that she is happily residing with petitioner in her matrimonial home.

ASI Charanjit Singh, the investigating officer, has identified her (respondent No.3).

Gurmeet Kaur-complainant (respondent No.2), is present in Court and states that her daughter was studying in Class +2 at BCM School Shastri Nagar Middle Town Medical College and she has no objection to her marriage in case the petitioner is ready to support her education and keep her happily.

Pawandeep Singh-petitioner is present in Court and on a specific query put to him, he states that he is ready to support the education of his wife and will keep her happy in matrimonial house. Keeping in view the above facts and the fact that respondent No.3 has attained majority, no useful purpose would be served in prolonging the litigation. Accordingly, FIR No.174 dated 23.10.2015, under Sections 363, 366A and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar, District Ludhiana and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

The present petition stands disposed of.
