Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking regular bail in FIR No. 64 dated 23.3.2014 under Section 302/149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC' for short) (Section 302 IPC converted to Section 304 IPC), registered at Police Station Sohana, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali).

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the case of the petitioner is on similar footing as co-accused Balwant Singh who has been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 27.11.2014 (Annexure P-4).
