RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioner has sought quashing of FIR No. 98 dated 05.06.2009 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 21 and 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Majitha, District Amritsar Rural and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Perusal of the file shows that this matter is unnecessarily lingering on, on account of absence of the petitioner before the trial Court and he was declared as proclaimed offender vide order dated 05.12.2009 (Annexure P-2) of the trial Court. To make things smooth, the petitioner is directed to appear before the trial Court on or before 10.01.2018, to pursue cancellation report against him and his bail application shall be decided within two days.
