Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C., is for the issuance of direction to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to protect lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 7. The petitioners contend that they being major, have solemnized their marriage in accordance with law. They further submit that respondent Nos. 4 to 7 are not accepting their marriage and adamant to separate them from each other by resorting to illegal means. Keeping in view the seriousness of the matter but without going into the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, to take action as warranted by law on the representation moved by the petitioners and in the meantime to issue necessary orders to ensure that no harm is caused to the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 7.
