**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) On 13.01.2023, the following order was passed : "On 10.1.2023, following order was passed:- "Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that parties have compromised their disputes and staying together.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Pal Singh, states that petitioner has not joined investigation, thus, the present petition deserves to be dismissed.

On being confronted with the aforesaid fact, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he was never served with summons under Section 160 Cr.P.C. and he was under impression that matter has been settled, thus, there is no need to appear before the investigating officer.

To resolve the matter and keeping in view the fact that parties have compromised the matter, the petitioner in terms of earlier orders of this Court is directed to appear before the investigating officer on 11.1.2023.

Adjourned to 13.1.2023.

Interim order to continue."

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Vaid Singh, who is present in Court, submits that inspite of repeated opportunities, the petitioner is not coming forward and he has not joined the investigation. Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to controvert the submission of learned State counsel, thus, this Court is left with no option except to dismiss the present petition because it appears that the petitioner has scant regard for the orders of this Court as well as law of the land. Dismissed.
