Learned State counsel refers to para 3 of the status report dated 01.07.2026 filed by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Khadur Sahib, Camp at Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran, which reads thus:- "3. It is submitted that on receipt of order dated 12.05.
2026 passed by this Hon'ble Court along with copy of the present petition in the office of Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, the same has been forwarded to the office of the undersigned to conduct the verification of facts pertaining to the said matter and the undersigned further marked the same to the Station House Officer, Police Station Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran and the Station House Officer, Police Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran has conducted enquiry and after conducing enquiry, it has emerged on record that petition namely Jaswant Singh has filed the present petition along with representation bearing No.1014-PP dated 13.03.
2026 and the enquiry pertaining to the above said representation was conducted by the Station House Officer, Police Station Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran and during the course of enquiry, the statement of the petitioner Jaswant Singh was recorded and during the course of enquiry, it has emerged on record that the petitioner failed to produce any evidence with regard to the alleged threats suffered by him and further, the petitioner has not stated in his application and his statement that where does he faced the alleged threats from the private respondent and after conducting enquiry, the allegations leveled by the petitioner in the above said representation were found to be false and frivolous and it has been found that the petitioner filed the present petition and representation due to political vendetta and on the basis of which, the above said representation has been recommended to be filed by the Enquiry Officer."

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed. 3.
Disposed of, however, reserving the petitioner with a liberty to file a representation in case any need arises.
