Present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to enter and sanction the mutation of the land purchased by the petitioner in the Court auction for which sale certificate of 3rd October 2023 (Annexure P-1) was issued in favour of petitioner without payment of stamp duty. Further prayer has been made for directing the respondents/Registering Officer to file the copy of sale certificate of 3rd October 2023 (Annexure P-1) in Block No.1 without payment of stamp duty.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for the redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has served a legal notice dated 07.03.2024 (Annexure P-3) upon the respondents but the same has not been taken into consideration by the said respondents till date. On asking of Court, Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. He submits that the legal notice dated 07.03.2024 would be decided expeditiously. 5.

After hearing counsel for the parties and perusing the record, respondent No.2 i.e. District Collector-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur is directed to decide the legal notice dated 07.03.2024 (Annexure P-3) served by the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order in accordance with law.
