The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

This writ petition in the nature of Habeas Corpus was filed for release of detenu Pawan Kumar from illegal custody of respondents No.4 and 5 i.e. C.I.A., Ludhiana.

The Warrant Officer was appointed on 9th July, 2021. He has submitted his report, same is taken on record. As per the report, Pawan Kumar was not found present in the C.I.A.-I Police Station. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that detenu reached home on 10th July, 2021. He seeks liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law for redressal of the surviving grievances. In view of the fact that detenu has reached home, no further orders are called for in the present petition. The petition is disposed of with liberty as prayed for.
