CRWP-5740-2020 The writ petitioners have filed the present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondent No.4 and 5, who are the residents of West Champaran, Bihar. Mr. Amit Mehta, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab has made a statement that the police has recorded the statements of all the parties who have stated that the writ petitioners do not have any threat perception.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 5740 of 2020 (O&M) 2 Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is disposed of.
