Coram:

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Inderjit Singh .....

Present:

Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. .....

Inderjit Singh, J.

The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.61 dated 16.5.2017 registered for the offences under Sections 394, 341 and 34 IPC at Police Station Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that the petitioner, who was on regular bail, absented from the Court proceedings on 10.5.2018 and non-bailable warrants have been issued against him. The present petitioner kept silent for such a long period and has not filed any anticipatory bail application for the last more than four months nor he surrendered before the trial Court. No cogent explanation has been given for remaining absent for such a long HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2018.10.17 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-45640 of 2018 [2] period from the Court proceedings.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
