The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.164 dated 25.9.2018 registered for the offences under Sections 420, 406 and 465 IPC at Police Station Dirba, District Sangrur.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that the FIR in the present case has been registered on the basis of application filed by Jagsir Singh against Satnam Singh-petitioner. It has been stated that Satnam Singh on the pretext of giving him job had taken `2,50,000/- from him. He returned `1,07,000/- and `1,43,000/- is still to be returned and he has to return this amount by 15.4.2018 as per the agreement entered into between them but he has not HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2018.10.17 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-45641 of 2018 [2] returned the same. It has also been stated that he gave him forged joining letter.

Keeping in view the serious allegations that the petitioner had taken the money for providing job and has given forged letter and even after the compromise he has resiled from it and has not made the payment shows that he is not entitled to the benefit of anticipatory bail. Otherwise also, the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, therefore, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
