Main petition [1] The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.
[2] The petitioners have approached this Court seeking protection of their life and liberty, pleading that petitioner Nos.1 and MANOJ KUMAR 2020.08.14 00:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Sector-1, Chandigarh
2 have performed marriage against the wishes of parents and family members of petitioner No.1 and there is threat to their life and liberty.

[4] Mr. Karan Sharma, AAG, Haryana and Mr. M. K. Mittal, Advocate accept notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3 and respondents No. 4 & 5, respectively.
[5] Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted a representation dated 4.8.2020 (Annexure P-5) to the Superintendent of Police, Jhajjar seeking necessary protection, but no action has been taken so far in the matter. [6] Without examining the question of validity of marriage of the petitioners, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the newly added respondent, i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka to look into the grievance of the petitioners expressed in the representation and take appropriate action, if so warranted.
