The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.95 dated 27.9.2017 registered for the offence under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Sandaur, District Jalandhar.

Notice of motion has been issued in this case. Ms. Monika Jalota, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested this petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. As per the prosecution version, the FIR has been registered on Harpal Singh Parmar 2018.07.17 16:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-44722 of 2017 [2] the basis of letter received from Gurwinder Singh for taking action against Amandeep Singh alias Lucky for committing fraud with him of `3,78,000/- in the name of sending him abroad and also against his wife and mother as well as against Gurinder Singh etc. As per allegations in the FIR, the accused took `3,78,000/- on various dates.

Keeping in view the nature and gravity of the offence and the fact that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation and further in view of the fact that 11 other FIRs have already been registered against the present petitioner, the list of which has been placed on record by the learned State counsel, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
