The present civil writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus for direction to the respondents to grant compassionate appointments/appropriate appointment to the petitioners in parity with the other persons/employees, who had also received solatium in the cases of death of their parents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions from the petitioners, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a liberty is MAMTA 2025.03.28 14:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-11972-2020 -2granted to the petitioners to file a representation to the respondents claiming the relief claimed in the present writ petition and the same may be decided by the respondents in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners. 4.

In view of the facts mentioned above, without commenting on the merits of the case, a direction is issued to respondent No.2 that in case, the petitioners submit a representation within a period of three weeks from today, the same be considered and decided after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners by passing a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the representation. The issue of over-age may also be taken into consideration while deciding the representation. 5.
