(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of FIR No.181 dated 01.10.2016 for the offence under Sections 354, 354 A, 509, 34, 323, 341 IPC, registered at P.S.Model Town, District Ludhiana.

As per FIR, the allegation is that Varinder Singh alias Raju alongwith three/four unknown persons were standing and stopped the Activa/Scooter of the prosecutrix. When the complainant tried to run away by leaving her Activa/Scooter, then Varinder Singh caught her and slapped her and also abused her. Varinder Singh @ Raju and other boys attempted to take her forcibly in his Maruti Car and when she raised alarm all the assailants run away.

Learned counsel submits that the co-accused of present petitioner i.e Amandeep Singh @ Happy has already been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 16.03.2017 passed in CRM-M-8057-2017. GAURAV ARORA 2017.04.27 16:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Crl. Misc. No. M-4475 of 2017 -2Learned State counsel further states that charges have been framed in this case.

The petitioner has not been named in the F.I.R and no injury has been attributed to him. The petitioner was not present at the spot. Heard.

Keeping in view the fact that the trial is likely to take some time to conclude and the fact that the co-accused has already been granted bail, the present petition is allowed. Petitioner is ordered to be released on bail during pendency of the trial of the present case, subject to his furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Ludhiana.
