After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he would approach the Court of Illaqa Magistrate at Ludhiana, with a prayer to direct the police for further investigation in light of the new facts which have emerged and then to file supplementary challan in terms of Section 173 (8) Cr.P.C. As far as threats coming from the side of private respondents, learned counsel states that he would approach the appropriate police authorities in that regard. He states that he be permitted to withdraw the present petition.
