CRWP-4479-2023 The petitioners submit that they are in a live-in-relationship. They are both above 18 years of age and are living together as they love each other but their respective parents are against the relationship. Thus, they fear for their lives and liberty. A representation dated 03.05.2023 (Annexure P-3) has been submitted to respondent No.2 but he has not taken any action thereupon.

Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3 only. 3.
Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 and waives service. Three copies of the paper book be supplied to him during the course of the day. 4.
Considering the nature of the order being passed there is no necessity to serve the private respondents or to seek a reply from any one of the respondents.

The petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to examine the request of the petitioners made through their representation dated 03.05.2023 (Annexure P-3) and provide them necessary protection in case the facts of the case so dictate.

It is made clear that above directions shall not be taken to be a bar on initiation of any proceedings which may be felt necessary in accordance with law.
