The paper-book of this appeal was burnt in the accidental fire. In order to reconstruct the same, efforts are being made. On 11.01.2023, the Union of India remained unrepresented.

Mr. Jasmeet Singh Bedi, Advocate, appearing for respondent No.1, submits that the correct name of respondent No.1 is "Vijay Kumar" and not "Vinay Kumar". He further submits that he has a copy of grounds of appeal only which has been provided to the learned counsel representing the Union of India, who prays for some time to verify the status. He is requested to inform the Court, "as to whether any cause in this second appeal survives or not?". This shall be the last opportunity failing which this Court will be compelled to dismiss the appeal for non-prosecution.
