Through the instant petition, the petitioner, who has asked for certain information qua co-respondent No. 5, hence under the RTI Act, alleges that the latter is exercising pressure upon him to withdraw the RTI applications carried in Annexures P-1 to P-4. Consequently, the petitioner apprehends threat to his personal liberty, and, also to his family members. Therefore, seeks directions being passed to official respondent No. 1 to 4, to provide adequate security.

Co-respondent No. 5 is a police official, and, since he is bound by the relevant conduct rules, hence, it does not appeal to reason, that he shall at the risk of losing his job, after his being found guilty of the charge of apposite misconduct, make / mete any threats to the life of the petitioner, or, to his family members.

Even otherwise, if the RTI applications concerned, are preferred by the petitioner, before the authorities concerned, the latter are directed, to within the framework of the relevant / special statute, make DINESH KUMAR 2021.11.16 17:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M No. 26999 of 2021 (O&M) -2appropriate orders thereon, and, in case the petitioner is still aggrieved, he can proceed to avail the remedies, as stipulated in the special statute concerned.

Therefore, the authorities concerned are directed to promptly make orders, upon, the RTI application, preferred by the petitioner, and, in case the petitioner is still aggrieved for non-supply of information to him, he can avail his remedies as per the relevant statute. 5.
