SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their life and liberty alleging that petitioner No.2-Deepak Kumar, who is major, has married petitioner No.1Neeraj Kumari, who is below 18 years of age, against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 7, who are parents and brothers of petitioner No. 1. Apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, they moved representation dated 11.10.2018 (Annexure P-3) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot. He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No. 2 to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

In view of the submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot to look into the representation dated 11.10.2018 (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on JITENDER KUMAR 2018.10.16 17:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
