The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to grant him benefits of Assured Career Progression Scheme (for short 'ACP') at par with his juniors. 2.

The petitioner joined Punjab Police on 09.09.1989 and he retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.10.2013. He claims that he was not granted ACP. Resultantly, his juniors are getting more pension than him. He made a representation to Assistant Inspector General of Police who vide letter dated 25.10.2023 (Annexure P-3) has forwarded his matter to Commandant, PAP, Jalandhar Cantt,. The Commandant, PAP, Jalandhar Cantt is seized of the matter.

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents and assures the Court that jurisdictional authority would look into grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order within three months from today.
