(ORAL): The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue 'No Objection Certificate' to the petitioner to enable him to apply for the post of Director pursuant to advertisement no.DMER/RECTT.MCB-1/2024/01, Annexure P-3; and to take a final decision on the charge-sheet served upon the petitioner in view of government instructions dated 15.9.2021, Annexure P-7. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has limited his prayer to issuing a direction to the respondents to decide the pending representation dated 9.4.2024, Annexure P-6, in a specified time, 3. Notice of motion.
