Along with the reply statements of petitioner No. 1-Sonia Sharma, petitioner No. 2-Harsh Kumar and respondent No.5-Pinki Sharma have been annexed as Annexure R-1 to R-3. The same are reproduced herein below : 'Statement of Pinki Sharma w/o late Sh. Sunder R/o Vill. Bakra, Teh. Beri, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana at present R/o H.No. 28, Manimajra Bank Colony, Chandigarh, Mob. No. 9876487099. Stated that I am the resident of the above mentioned address and I am working as a Homeguard in Chandigarh. On dated 16.08.2013, my husband had expired due to rupturing of his vein. I have two children, my elder daughter is Sonia Sharma aged 18 years and my younger son is 17 years old. My husband used to work as a Homeguard in Chandigarh. After his death, I was given job as a Homeguard in Chandigarh.

I had purchased a house in Surajpur, Panchkula and I was residing there with my children. Thereafter, since June, 2024, I have been residing in Manimajra along with my children in a rented house. From December, 2024, my daughter started residing with Harsh s/o Sh. Sunil Kumar R/o Surajpur, Panchkula. Thereafter, on 05.04.2025, 1 took my daughter Sonia along with me to our Village Bakra, Distt. Jhajjar. Thereafter, my daughter told me that she wants to reside with Harsh and she came back to Surajpur, Panchkula. My daughter is 18 years old and she is a major. She can take her own life decisions and she knows what is good and bad for her. Now she wants to reside with Harsh.

Panchkula, Mob. No. 9729145036 DOB 04.10.2006 Stated that I am the resident of the above mentioned address. We are two brothers and sisters. My brother is younger to me. My father expired in 2013, due to an illness. My father was working as a Homeguard in Chandigarh and after his death, my mother Pinki Sharma got a job in his place. My mother was living with me and my brother in our house at Surajpur. I became friends with my neighbour namely Harsh s/o Sh. Sunil.

Thereafter, my mother gave our house on rent and shifted to a rented accommodation at Manimajra to live closer to her place of duty. On 26.12.2024, I left the company of my mother and came to the house of my friend Harsh. On 05.04.2025, my mother took me to our native Village Bakra. I told her that I am a major and I understand what is right and wrong for me. I want to reside with Harsh and therefore, I came to him. I and Harsh have filed a protection petition before the High Court. Now, I am residing with Harsh at his house and we have no danger of any kind. I have got my statements recorded and heard, which is correct.

Statement of Harsh s/o Sh. Sunil Kumar R/o Vill. Pilkhadi, Ambala at present tenant at B.C.W. Surajpur, Near KirpalSagar School, Mahadev Colony, Teh. Kalka, Distt. Panchkula, Mob. No. 9729145036 DOB 01.03.2007 Stated that I am the resident of the above mentioned address. I am the only son of my parents. My father works as a driver. Му parents reside in a rented house at Surajpur. I became

friends with my neighbour Sonia d/o Sh. Shyam Sunder since 26.12.2024 and residing in a live-in relationship with Sonia. On 05.04.2025, I had gone to my work and in my absence, Sonia's mother took her away to her Village. On 09.04.2025, I brought back Sonia along with me. I want to reside with Sonia d/o Sh. Shyam Sunder. I and Sonia have filed a protection petition before the High Court. Now, I am residing with Sonia at my house and we have no danger of any kind. I have got my statements recorded and heard, which is correct.' A perusal of the above mentioned statements shows that there is no more threat perception which would warrant any interference by this Court by invoking extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, at this stage. Learned counsel for the petitioner in light of the developments as has been unfolded above and in view of the above statements, does not wish to press this petition at this stage. Dismissed as not pressed.
