(ORAL) By way of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioner prays for issuance of directions to the respondents to extend the parole already granted to the petitioner for a period of 8 weeks (56 days) w.e.f.21.02.2025 to 19.04.2025 under Section 3 of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners Temporary Release Act, 1962, for a further period of six weeks on account of ailing condition of mother of the petitioner and for taking care of her and getting her treated as there is no other family member to look after her.
After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take appropriate legal remedy available in accordance with law.
