*** Ms. Rupinder K. Thind, Advocate has appeared on behalf of complainant by filing vakalatnama, which be taken on record. This petition for regular bail has been filed by Paramjit Kaur, an accused in F.I.R. No. 65 dated 29.4.2017 for offences under Sections 302/34 IPC registered with Police Station Mehatpur, District Jalandhar. F.I.R. in this case was registered on the basis of complaint made by Jaswant Singh, brother of deceased Rajvinder Kaur. Balraj Singh. husband of deceased has been attributed to injuries with an axe. However, in supplementary statement got recorded by complainant with the police on 1.5.2017, it is stated that Paramjit Kaur, mother-in-law of Rajvinder Kaur had joined her son Balraj Singh in giving beatings to the deceased and deceased had succumbed to those injuries.

After completion of investigation, both the accused have been challaned and now they are facing trial in the Court of Sessions at Parvinder Singh 2018.01.30 16:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

After framing of formal charge, 2 PWs out of 19 PWs are stated to have been examined.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and gravity of the offence, I do not see any reason to grant benefit of bail to the petitioner. Her such request is declined and petition is dismissed. However, it is directed that the trial Court would make earnest endeavors to conclude the trial within six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in that Court by giving short adjournments and the State shall cause appearance of the prosecution witnesses summoned for a particular date in the Court.
