Present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members at the hands of respondent Nos.6 to 8 and their associates, and to transfer the investigation of FIR bearing No.0021 dated 11.02.2026 registered under Sections 108 and 61(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short 'BNS') at Police Station Moonak, District Sangrur to an independent investigating agency.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel limited his prayer by submitting that respondent No.4 be directed to decide the representation dated 05.03.2026 moved by the petitioner.

Learned State counsel appeared upon advance notice and submitted that FIR was registered in the month of February, 2026, MANISHA 2026.04.20 18:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-4234-2026 -2investigation is going on and one accused has already been arrested and raids were conducted four times to nab the remaining accused. 4.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, respondent No.4 is directed to look into the representation dated 05.03.2026 moved by the petitioner and deal with the same in accordance with law.
