On account of matrimonial litigation of petitioner No.2 pending with respondent No.4 Jasvir Kaur, his father petitioner No.1 along with him have approached this court for protection of their life and liberty. A perusal of the complaint, submitted by the petitioners to SSP Barnala, copy of which has been attached as Annexure P-1, would indicate that the existence of non cognizable offence ,as per the allegations, is debatable but in view of the nature of the pleas taken in Annexure P-1, the circumstances do not warrant issuance of any direction. The petition is pre-mature. However, it is observed that in case there is any specific instance of interference in the life and liberty of the petitioners, it will be open to them to approach SSP Barnala by filing a detailed representation. It is expected that the same would be looked into by the SSP Barnala.

Disposed of with the above observations.
